James Cleveland is a Consultant Partner in our Real Estate team. 

James has over 15 years’ experience and brings deep expertise, alongside a commercially astute approach, to advising clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, development projects, and strategic land matters. Known for his clarity, precision, and strong client relationships, he is particularly valued for his ability to guide complex deals to successful outcomes. 

James specialises in high-value and strategic land acquisitions and disposals, urban regeneration projects, and landlord and tenant work. His experience spans a wide range of commercial property matters, including promotion agreements, restrictive covenants, easements, conditional contracts, options, HMO acquisitions, and business transfers. 

In addition to his transactional work, James regularly advises on infrastructure provision, property finance and securities, and development-related agreements, supporting clients to unlock value and deliver sustainable growth. 

Before joining Acuity Consult, James held senior positions at firms including as a partner and head of the commercial team at Everys and roles with Michelmores, DAC Beachcroft, and Irwin Mitchell.
